With a Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT), you can expand your skills in instructional design or instructional technology and learn to evaluate the impact of technology on learning.

Taught by the same nationally recognized faculty as our resident program, the online master’s is designed to help you successfully incorporate the use of the Internet and technology in your professional setting.

Penn State offers the Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology as well as three Postbaccalaureate Certificate options:

  • Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Educational Technology Integration (15 credits)
  • Postbaccalaureate Certificate in e-Learning Design (12 credits)
  • Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Teaching and Learning Online in K-12 Settings (15 credits)

Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology

This 30-credit program prepares graduates to use or design educational technologies, and to apply design thinking to support teaching and learning. Coursework in the LDT program enables teachers and design professionals to explore best practices in the field of learning design. Course activities challenge students to apply their understanding to practical, real-world problems, and encourage students to blend their personal and professional interests into their coursework
