The Master of Science in Sport Business at Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management prepares future sport business leaders for careers in-demand fields including:
Designed to provide a multifaceted approach to the study of sport business, the program is structured to give students a strong understanding of current trends and policies affecting the sport and leisure industries. Students benefit from an experiential driven curriculum that allows them to gain hands-on experience through class projects and a built-in internship. All students work closely with the academic director and Center for Student Professional Development to create personalized paths to achieve their professional career goals.
This graduate program is structured for students to keep or pursue full-time employment or internships and assistantships during the day. With all courses beginning after 5pm, the program gives students the flexibility to complete the degree in as little as 4 semesters or up to 4 years.
Concentrations: There are four concentrations, allowing students to specialize their learning in specific areas.
Athletic Administration Concentration
Recreation and Event Management Concentration
Sport Analytics Concentration
Sport Marketing and Promotions Concentration
Interdisciplinary Study: The program encourages interdisciplinary coursework, research, and interactions among faculty and students with interest in the economics of sport, marketing, stadium and arena management, administration, public recreation, fundraising, policymaking, and finance.
Job Prospects: Students typically pursue careers in college athletics, campus recreation, professional sports, sports governing bodies, youth sports, stadium and arena management, and parks and recreation.
Study Abroad: Students who wish to do their internships abroad work closely with STHM’s Center for Student Professional Development, which assists with the necessary contacts and supervision.

Campus Location: STHM classes are held at the University’s Main campus with business electives offered online or other Temple campuses
