MEd in Counseling Psychology
Prepare for a career as a counselor in an agency or school with the MEd in Counseling Psychology, and acquire the assessment and therapeutic skills necessary to work with diverse populations in various applied settings. Learn to facilitate healthy personal and interpersonal relationships across the lifespan, working with couples, families, groups and individuals.
This master’s degree equips students with the tools needed to become multiculturally competent counselors in diverse settings by weaving skills in multicultural competence and cultural awareness into every course.
Small classes foster direct, collaborative relationships with instructors and classmates. Clinical courses in particular are limited to 15 students. The Counseling Psychology MEd provides ample opportunities for intensive, hands-on training, culminating in a year-long practicum and internship experience. Experiential components are also integrated into most courses.
